  1. The pooja room in your house must ideally be in the north-east side. It brings in a lot of positive energy in the house.
  2. If possible, leave the rooms open in the North-East direction i.e., include more windows or open space in this direction.
  3. While taking meals, keep your plate in South-East direction and it is recommended that when you drink water, keep your face towards the North-East direction.
  4. Avoid putting your bed under a beam.
  5. Don’t put mirrors in your bedroom – mirrors are believed to boost unfaithfulness and therefore, create problems in martial life.
  6. Avoid putting cactus or thorny-plants in the house.
  7. Do not put posters or pictures depicting cruelty or depression such as pictures of war scenes, angry people, pictures depicting crying people, owl or eagle in your house.
  8. While sleeping, it is recommended to put your head in the South or the West side.
  9. In your kitchen, place heavy items such as microwave, ovens, grinders or fridge towards the west and the southern wall of the kitchen.
  10. It is good if the doors of your house are facing to the east. Have the doors open inside of the house so that the energy remains in the house.
  11. For students, east is a good location for the study room. Place the study table in south or west direction but face towards the east or north direction. Keep the bookshelves on the southwest side of the room.
  12. If you wish to hang family photos in the house, use the west wall.
  13. Mirrors bring in a lot of positive energy in the house. Place large mirrors on the north or east walls of the house. However, never keep broken mirrors in the house. Also, make sure that you do not have mirrors in the kitchen and the bedrooms.
  14. It is believed that keeping money plant in the house increases the money flow.
  15. Keep the house uncluttered. Give away the stuff which you do not use or do not need. Reduce the overall burden in the house.
